The Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp Memorial near Berlin will leave a powerful impression on all that visit.  This tour is offered in partnership with Mosaic Tours e.V., a non-profit dedicated to increasing awareness of the Holocaust and modern genocides.  Mosaic Tours e.V. operates as a non-profit organization, with proceeds benefitting the Sachsenhausen Memorial and Amnesty International.  Fat Tire Tours proudly sponsors Mosaic Tours e.V. and provides online booking support at no cost to the organization.  Please note: the tour is conducted on foot, and not by bike.  You will need an ABC ticket for the Berlin transit system to journey to the memorial, about 25 minutes ride outside of Berlin.

  • The meeting point for our tour is directly in front of the entrance to the giant TV Tower (Fernsehturm) in Alexanderplatz, in the area between the TV Tower and the Alexanderplatz train station. Our meeting time is 10am - a guide carrying a Mosaic sign of our green and black logo will be waiting for you there.

  • Expand/Collapse Where is the meeting point?

    Mosaic Tours meets at the main entrance of the TV Tower in Alexanderplatz. You will see our guides there with a green sign and holding our brochures. If you would like to drop by our shop before the tour, you can find us around the right-hand corner from entrance, behind the cafe to the right of the TV Tower entrance.

    Reservations are recommended, but not required.  We suggest that you book in advance so that you are guaranteed a spot on the tour, and also to help us better plan for the day of your tour.  If you do not have a reservation don’t worry, just come on by our shop and we will get you on tour, provided that there is space.

  • Expand/Collapse What do I need to bring with me on tour?

    Be sure to bring your camera and a snack or lunch.  We also recommend that you bring an extra layer of clothing in case it get’s chilly during the tour.  You also need to have your ABC metro ticket, or get that from the guide at the start of the tour.

    We will take a break during the tour for lunch, but you should bring your lunch with you as food options are extremely limited at the memorial.  As our tour starts in Alexanderplatz, there are numerous places where you can buy a to-go meal to bring with you.
