Yes, from November to March we will run tours on a reduced schedule at 11am from Thursdays to Mondays, inclusive. Please see the tour page for full details.

  • Expand/Collapse Is the tour difficult?

We run tours rain or shine and have plenty of rain ponchos. We find tours in the rain to be a different kind of fun and an even more fun memory! If you have a reservation and the weather is really bad, you are welcome to reschedule the tour for any other day for up to year.

Yes. There will be a chance to take many photos at the designated stops.

  • Expand/Collapse Do you have children's bikes?

Yes. We have kids bikes, tag-alongs and baby seats. Please make a reservation online if you have children in your group and let us know how many are with you, and their ages, in the NOTES section of your reservation - this way we can make sure we have the right sized bikes set aside for everyone in your group.

Absolutely! We have loads of families and we're a great family activity. We offer multiple bike options for children depending on their age, size, and riding ability. Please keep in mind that children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult on the tour.

    • For children up to 12 years old or 45kg (100lbs) without good bike handling skills we offer 2-wheeled tandems that allow the passenger to pedal or coast, without having to maintain a high level of balance. All riders over 45kg (100lbs) must ride their own bicycle. We have various sized city bikes to accommodate just about every size of rider, from extra small 20 inch wheeled bikes for riders that are 3.3ft (100cm) to extra large for riders up to 6.5ft (198cm). Unfortunately, we do not have adult tricycles, adult tandems, or bikes with training wheels for adults or children that may be less confident in their riding ability.
    • There is no additional charge for trailers, tandems or baby seats. Due to limited availability, please book baby seats, trailers, tandems, 20” and 24” wheeled bikes in advance.
    • Please Note: All extra small 20 inch and small 24 inch bikes are equipped with both hand brakes.

Royal London Bike Tour Reviews

Royal London Bike Tour - 11AM is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 440.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Intro to London I went on the Royal London Tour with my two sisters and it was the perfect introduction to London. Dominick provided a scenic ride with lots of information and fun facts about London, its history and the Royals. We didn't see any purple helicopters, but we did see the trumpeter in the horse guard and the state flag above Buckingham Palace. I would recommend this tour and if I ever go back to London, I would look into other Fat Tire tours!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Iconic London tour Pre-bought tickets. On the day of our tour, ticket price now 10 Pounds cheaper. That’s ridiculous! Don’t think the tour is worth 35 pounds/person when you add in the exchange rate. We took the 3:30 tour. Perfect weather for a bike ride through the park. Stopped at Kensington Palace, Buckingham Palace, Wellington Gate, Trafalgar Sq, Parliment, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, and highlights in Hyde Park. The afternoon ride falls during rush hour so be aware of lots of other (very fast) bike riders, walkers & cars. It can be a bit scary with kids. Bikes aren’t actual Fat Tire bikes. They’re a bit beat up and brakes are in the opposite side handles from US bikes. No baskets to store items but will hold your bag at their bike shop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great guide! Guide was clearly experienced and very positive throughout, even when we encountered unforeseen difficulties like the tour clashing with a marathon that day. We still had a good experience, and I had fun exploring London on bike :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly Recommend. Great day and great way to see some of the sights in London. Forget the Hop-On Hop-Off bus, you don't get stuck in traffic whilst you're peddling away on a bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Tour Guide - learned a lot about London I bought this a couple of weeks ago for a friend's birthday. The weather was beautiful, and the tour was amazing. We saw parts of London we had not seen before, our Capital is truly a beautiful City. The tour took us safely around the cycle routes of London, stopping every so often for the Guide (Jamie) to share his wealth of knowledge with us, some fascinating history was learned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wouldn't See the City Any Other Way We have done Fat Tire Tours in Berlin, Paris and Barcelona. London was just as amazing. We were a little hesitant about the big city with streets but Fat Tire found a way to use parks throughout the tour. Loved our time and learning about the city.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A noble way to see the royal sites This is our second, great city adventure with Fat Tire Tours (the first took place in Paris). It has proved to be the highlight of our family trip each time. Our guide, Dominic, not only maneuvered our gang of bikers through the parks and streets of Royal London, he also gave us great insight to the city and its many majestic highlights. Our bike tour took place the day after Prince Harry and Meghan Markel’s wedding. That Sunday boasted crystal clear sunshine and everyone seemed to be in an especially festive mood as we pedaled through Kensington and Hyde Parks. As it was Sunday, the streets to Buckingham Palace and The Mall were blocked to motor vehicles so it made for a relaxing ride. I’d recommend taking this tour on a Sunday if you can to avoid having to contend with traffic in these areas. Dominic spoke with an attitude of pride and respect for the Royal family which was very refreshing. The areas we rode in were beautifully tended. One would be hard pressed to see as many important sites with commentary on foot as we did in one afternoon on the bike tour. It was a great way to get some exercise while feeling totally immersed in the extensive history and culture of the great city of London. It was fun to bond with the people in our group who were from varying parts of the globe. I can’t wait to take another Fat Tire Tour when have our next European adventure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Day Great way to see London. Our group, led by Dominic, had a super ride through the parks and past many significant buildings and landmarks. Dominic did a fine commentary on the points we passed. That helped me better understand the great City of London. And, I got some exercise as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic What a great day we had. Having lived in London for many years saw and learnt so much. Both my 8 and 11 year old boys had a fab time. The guide was great, he covered everything from the safety of the group to his wide knowledge of London and the history of it and kept all ages engaged - it was just fun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tour Interesting, knowledgable guide. Good route. Good bikes. I’ve never been disappointed in a Fat Tire tour in any city. However, I think the London tour may be quite different and more difficult to get around at a busier time of year. Ask what the group size limit is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Overview I visited this tour on my first day I spent in London, with the intent to see some parts of it, that I could go to myself after the tour in detail. Biút I was surprised by the big number of spots we visited, so we did most of the inner city attractions within these 4 hours. Our guide Dominik was absolutely great and the price is more than fair, for what you get. Definitely recommend it to everyone.
