Don't miss the Changing of the Guard Walking Tour.

The Changing of The Guard is one of the most famous ceremonies in the world and a must-see London attraction, but what is the best way to experience it? There is more to it than can possibly be seen if you just join the melee pushing up against the gates of Buckingham Palace trying to catch a glimpse.

The reality is that the ceremony is a carefully orchestrated movement of soldiers between multiple locations. Over the course of this 2 hour walking tour, we will offer you some of the best timed views of the different sites of the ceremony, and unlike any other London tour we will also trace the fascinating origins of the tempestuous history of guarding The Monarchy, allowing you to thoroughly appreciate what it is that you are witnessing.

Changing of the Guard Walking Tour Reviews

THE CHANGING OF THE GUARD WALKING TOUR is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Tour We Did This was the best tour that we did during our trip to London. Johnathan was our guide and he was great. He knew the history and was able to educate us on the how's and why's. This tour also kept us ahead of the crowd in terms of the Changing of the Guard. We had great views and and got great pictures. I would recommend this tour to everyone!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth it The guide came late. We reached buckinghmam palace late and the cops did not let us into the viewing area. Just saw the marching out. Also there is no guarantee you will get a good spot to view . They just wing it when you get there

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Bit of History, A Bit of Rush We chose this tour excited about showing our kids the changing of the guard during our stay in London. While this is a heavily tourist attended event, our tour seemed rushed and didn't well accommodate a viewing of the ceremony in front of Buckingham Palace, basically missing the intended centerpiece of this guided tour. I don't know if this was because our FatTire guide was accompanied by his bicycle or perhaps this was a new tour itinerary for him. We did see the guards marching outside the palace grounds on streets enroute to their barracks, the the overall guided commentary was informative. But overall our kids were left with a 'so what' having missed what it's all about.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Walking tour Buckingham Palace As always Fat Tire Bike doesn't disappoint. We got to see more than just the changing of the guard and Jonathan knew the back ways around to get the best views for us. We had Jonathan the night before for the Night Ride on the River. Amazingly informative with tongue in cheek humor. We always have a wonderful experience with Fat tire.
