Our New Orleans Bike Tour is a great way to get oriented with all that New Orleans has to offer - it's not just Bourbon Street! We'll be focusing on lots of other gems in the Big Easy, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city's famous avenue and the Mardi Gras atmosphere. Join us for an easy, relaxed ride through the French Quarter - also known as the 'Crown Jewel' of New Orleans.
We will start by picking up our comfortable city bikes at our office and then cruising through the lively downtown area where we will dive into the heart of the city. The French Quarter is the oldest and most famous neighborhood in New Orleans. It's known for its unique Spanish architecture, it's French street names, it's jazz heritage, and its Créole gastronomy. We'll touch on all of these aspects of its unique history while stopping at some of the most famous sites for great photo opportunities, stories, and anecdotes that will make the city come alive.
New Orleans is known for being lively, and we've timed our tour perfectly to experience this phenomenon while keeping safety a priority. An evening trip through the French Quarter can be equally exciting, but we'll get to see it during the day when many artists and musicians are entertaining passersby and when café culture is in full swing. New Orleans is known for its jazz culture, and you might see a few concerts as we roll by! This city has been home to excellent jazz musicians over the years as well as a yearly jazz and heritage festival in the spring. We'll point out where this happens and give you some insider's tips should you wish to partake in the easy listening later on.
After crossing Canal Street, you will feel as if you stepped back in time. We'll explore the Treme neighborhood which is the oldest African American district in the United States, and is known today as a historic location. New Orleans is steeped in cultural mélanges, and this part of town really brings the story of the city to life. Our guides will give you an insider's view into the neighborhood and highlight some of the best places for authentic New Orleans cuisine to try later in your trip.
This tour is a great way to experience the most talked-about district in New Orleans and learn more about the city’s diverse culture and history.
