French Quarter and Garden District Bike Tour

Experience our French Quarter and Garden District Bike Tour

This tour is an excellent introduction to New Orleans as well as a great 'welcome back' treat for those who are visiting for a second or third time.  The French Quarter and Garden district are the heart of the city, and we'll get to explore these beautiful, historical areas in style and comfort with our easy-to-ride city bikes.

The naturally cool oak-lined streets of the Garden District provide for the some of the best cycling in New Orleans, so we'll start our visit here.  The Big Easy is known for French Colonial & Victorian architecture, and we'll cruise past some of the most magnificent mansions hiding behind these gorgeous oaks and stop to talk about the inhabitants who lived and continue to live in the neighborhood.  These locals would create a way-of-life that blended French, Spanish, Creole, & other Caribbean influences to make a unique melting polt of language, food, and lifestyle that can only be seen in New Orleans.

From the Garden District, we'll continue on towards New Orleans’ Central Business District, filled with excellent boutique shops and restaurants, before arriving in the French Quarter.  This is one of the oldest neighborhoods in America, and there's no better way to make it come to life than with the help of a fully licensed, local, tour guide.  We will talk all things Bourbon street & Mardi Gras, but also touch on the less-flashy aspects of this beautiful neighborhood, such as its colonial roots and the mulitple fires of the 1700's that would decimate the area. Your guide will also point out the best places to visit on your own after the tour so that you can soak up as much of New Orleans as possible.  We'll even squeeze in a stop for coffee/tea so that you can chat with your guide and your group for a bit before hopping back on the bikes.

Located just nearby, we’ll then make our way to the Treme Neighborhood, known for its jazz roots and lasting creole heritage.  Throughout the tour, we’ll also see the most famous sites of New Orleans, such as Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathedral, the Mississippi River, Frenchmen St., and so many more hidden gems that you couldn’t possibly see on your own.  This is the perfect way to take in all the highlights and more!

We recommend joining us for a tour early in your trip so that you can get a great overview of the city, learn about its history, and leave with a deeper appreciation for it as you continue to explore on your own.  Our guides are passionate about their hometown, and they want to help make your time in New Orleans as special as possible.  With plenty of stops along the way for photos, stories, and questions, we have no doubt that this is the best way to experience our beloved New Orleans.
