Experience New Orleans in a Day: Garden District, French Quarter, and Beignets!

New Orleans is so much more than its iconic French Quarter. Dive deep in to the Crescent City and see it all in just one incredible day. You'll begin at a historic praline-maker where you’ll meet your local expert guide and learn about New Orleans’ most famous sweet. You'll also get to sample a fresh praline before hopping on a short streetcar ride down St. Charles Ave on your way to the Garden District.

Once home to the city’s wealthiest families, the picturesque Garden District is still filled with some of the grandest mansions in America. The only difference is that they are now home to celebrities like Beyonce, Jay-Z and Sandra Bullock! Your guide will take you to some of the most famous houses on the way to historic Lafayette Cemetery No. 1.

On most weekdays, the tour will visit the historic Elms Mansion. On weekends and the occasional weekend (when the Elms is closed), the tour will take you to the great Columns Hotel, another of the city's incredible Italianate mansions built in the 1880s.

After a lunch of authentic Creole cuisine (included in the tour), your guide will bring you to the French Quarter for a full tour which will immerse you in to the African, French, and Spanish influences that have come together and made New Orleans famous! You’ll step into Jackson Square to see landmark buildings like the St. Louis Cathedral and the Cabildo (where the Louisiana Purchase was signed) and then step inside the Presbytere building for a full tour of the museum including exhibits on Mardi Gras and Hurricane Katrina.

Your tour will conclude with a trip to the French Market and the world-famous Cafe du Monde where you'll enjoy a complimentary beignets best enjoyed on the banks of the Mississippi River!
