Enjoy the beautiful and historic Loire valley by bike; a 40km cycle winding through the serene countryside. We are the only bike tour to cover two châteaux, a market, and a wine tasting in just one day.
A relaxing train ride from Paris brings us to Blois, where we kick off the day by exploring the local château. Then after picking up our picnic lunch at the shops downtown, we'll jump on bikes to ride the scenic backroads towards the largest château in the Loire: Château de Chambord. Once we arrive at the Domaine de Chambord, we'll have a quick wine tasting before reclining in the lush grounds to enjoy our picnic. Next we'll explore Château de Chambord, including the magnificent terraces which offer a breathtaking panorama of both the ornate architecture and surrounding nature reserve. After our châteaux hopping we’ll loop back towards Blois, this time via bike lanes following the Loire River. This is a full day of stunning views and amazing experiences!
The tour meets at the front of platform #18 (“voie 18” in French) inside the Austerlitz main line train station (“Gare d'Austerlitz” in French) in Paris. Your guide will be holding a 'Fat Tire Tours' sign.
