Cinque Terre is a series of five picturesque villages perched on the hills above the Mediterranean sea. This trek will give you a lovely picture of the Italian Riviera. The only way to see this part of the country is by hiking and by the sea, and you’ll likely be doing both!
We depart Florence in the morning and we arrive high above the Cinque Terre village of Manarola, where we enter the National Park to hike to Corniglia. At the cliff top village of Corniglia, we enjoy a delicious lunch made of fresh Mediterranean seafood and the most authentic Pesto Pasta in a local restaurant with a perfect view of the sea and surrounding hillside. After lunch, we continue our tour towards the village of Vernazza, one of the prettiest and most characteristic of the towns, where we have free time to sit in one of the cheerful cafés.
The visit will continue with a short ride to Monterosso, a village renowned for its beautiful beach and artisan shops. Enjoy free time to explore the shops or lounge by the sea. As the sun descends, you’ll head back to Florence.
