"We had such a great time on our tour! Our tour guide was great and knew
so much of the history behind the Eiffel Tower as well as many the
buildings you could see from up above the city."

Get exclusive behind-the-scenes access to areas of the Eiffel Tower that few people have ever seen!
The Eiffel Tower's fascinating engine room, which still controls operation of the original hydraulic elevators, is closed off to the public, but with this special access, you will get to see the beautiful, archaic inner workings that are hidden below ground. Before we enter the Tower, if availability allows, you may get to enter the secret underground military bunker below the Champ de Mars which was used for communications by the French military in WWI and WWII. Your expert guide will tell you all about how the Tower was saved from destruction to be used as a radio tower for military purposes.
Once we enter the Eiffel Tower at our pre-booked entry time, we will ascend to the second floor of the Tower. While enjoying the spectacular views from the 2nd level, your guide will continue telling you fascinating stories about the history of the Tower and about the monuments along the Paris skyline. You will have plenty of time to walk around and take photos from this ideal and historical vantage point. Please note, that this tour does not include access and due to a recent change at the Eiffel Tower, tickets to the summit are no longer available at the conclusion of the tour. If you'd like to visit the summit, check out our Skip the Line Eiffel Tower Tour with Summit Access or arrange your trip to the summit on a separate visit. Our group size is limited to 20 people so that you can be assured that you'll receive personalized attention from your guide.

All of our tours operate rain or shine. If rain is in the forecast, please plan accordingly and bring rain gear with you. Absolutely! There are a few options if you are looking to eat on the Eiffel Tower. There are two restaurants on the Tower which require reservations: the 58 Eiffel, located on the first floor, and the Michelin-starred Jules Verne on the second floor. Reservations need to be made well in advance in the summer months, so please plan accordingly! If you are looking for something more casual, there are cafés and snack stands on the first and second level of the Eiffel Tower serving a variety of sandwiches and soft drinks. It is also possible to bring your own food on the Tower, but please note that glass containers and knives are prohibited.
If you would like to book a larger group, please contact our Private Tours team at [email protected].
