"There's something here for everyone. If a segway isn't your thing,
try their bicycle tours. If a bike isn't your thing,
take their skip-the-line tours."
PAIGE DONNER, USA TODAY
"The bike outings are what put Fat Tire on the map
and make it Paris’s most favorited traveler experience
on sites like TripAdvisor."
DAVID HOCHMAN, FORBES
""I can't say enough good things about my experiences with Fat Tire Tours.
Not only are the bike tours really fun and quite informative, but the staff
provided me with so many tips for my time in Paris! Thanks to their
guidance, I was able to see more of the city and really live like a local which
is what I love to do when traveling!"
ANNA BARZIN, PHOTOGRAPHER
"I'm usually not one for tours or group activities on vacation, but the bike
tour that Fat Tire Tours puts on was so informative and incredible. The right
amount of history and information, along with fun riding through the city
and seeing so many incredible spots in one day."
"Fat Tire Tours provided me with some of my favorite moments during my
time in Paris. Not only is seeing the city from a bike such a fun and neat
perspective, the tours also offer fantastic information and history from
engaging, knowledgable guides."
Since 2012, we've hosted an annual Win a Trip to Paris Contest in the Fall, where thousands compete for the chance to win an all-expense paid vacation for two to Paris, France. Each year draws a ton of excitement and offers robust opportunites for partnerships and collaborations. We host the contest on our website as well as across our social media platforms, and see a huge boost in engagement during the contest.
A look at the numbers over the years...
In the past we've teamed up with great partners including Fodor's, AFAR, Flytographer, eBags, Wine Awesomeness, and much more. We look for great partners each year to bring something unique to the contest!
We love the opportunity to reward our guests and online followers with the occasional giveaway on social media. In the past we've gifted everything from Fat Tire Tours t-shirts, travel books, travel-inspired prints, wine, and even bicycles! Have a great product you think our fans would be interested in? Giveaways are a great opportunity to collaborate with our digital team!
In May and August of 2018 we hosted one-hour webinars with the theme of "How to Plan the Perfect Paris Vacation". Our Marketing Director Crissa covered topics ranging from Where to Stay, Where to Eat, and What to Do while in the City of Light. Each webinar featured a slideshow with visuals as well as a Q&A feature that our team answered live in addition to Crissa answering a handful of questions in between categories during the webinar.
The Fat Tire Tours blog can be found by clicking here. Topics on the blog cover a bit of everything for each of our cities across Europe and the US, but we focus our articles into three main categories.
Our fully GDPR-compliant marketing mailing list has over 4,000 subscribers (as of September 2018) and an average open rate of 43.3%. Our subscribers are primarily from the United States, followed by Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, and France.
In fall of 2018 we introduced our monthly Fat Tire Tours Newsletter, designed to feature interesting and relevant information about each of our cities in an easily digestable format.
In addition to our primary company Facebook page, we host individual Travel Communities for each of our cities in private groups, monitored by our team. These online communities offer a fantastic opportunity for guests to connect with fellow travelers and get advice or begin discussions with a diverse group of people.
By making these groups private, we allow our guests more confidence in sharing details or questions about their upcoming trips as well as seasoned veterans being free to answer questions.
Fat Tire Tours ran a July 2018 study of 1,607 people worldwide who have traveled anywhere for leisure in the past 2 years. We wanted to learn how travelers prefer to use social media during their vacations, from what features they found exciting to use to what types of attractions they found the most picture-worthy.
