Private Rome Night Bike Tour

Private Rome Night Bike Tour

Watch the sun set over Rome as your private guide leads you to the best neighborhoods for people-watching, partaking in the evening festivities, and of course, cycling!  We’ve planned the perfect evening route to help you transition from your busy day of sightseeing into a more relaxed and enjoyable night in the capital.

A private tour is the best way to discover the hidden gems of Rome and take in the ambiance of the evening.  With a guide dedicated to your group, you are guaranteed to have as much as time as you would like at each of the stops, and hear more about the information that is interesting to you.

We love the Trastevere neighborhood during the evening.  This is a lively but laid-back part of town that is not to be missed, and best visited as the workday comes to an end.  You will see locals meeting up for a drink, families bringing their kids out to play before bedtime, and plenty of people enjoying the cool evening air.  This neighborhood is home to some of the best, local restaurants, bars, and terraces that never cease to be empty.

After we make our way through this charming part of town, we will circle around and visit the medieval and Catholic areas of the city, going as far as the columned courtyard surrounding Saint Peter’s Basilica and Castel Sant’Angelo.  We have found the perfect overlook to enjoy some drinks ourselves!  Your guide will bring along a bit of local Tuscan wine to enjoy as we peer out over the Vatican, all while the sun is setting above.

There are a few other breathtaking sites whose beauty is amplified during the golden hour.  We will get a chance to stop at the Spanish Steps and ride down one of the fanciest streets in town, via Condotti.  Of course we would love to include other sites that you would like to see on this fully privatized tour - be sure to let us know your preferences in the comments so that we can make your evening in Rome as special as possible.

  • Expand/Collapse What cycling skill level do I need for this tour?

While all of our tours maintain a leisurely pace, we want our guests to have fun and be safe, so being able to ride a bike is paramount.

Our Private Rome Night Bike Tour is perfect for intermediate bike riders. You should have good balance, be able to start and stop comfortably, and be familiar with hand brakes. Most of this tour is on roads, and although we can cater to your group, we ask that all guests feel confident with their riding ability. Safety is our number one priority but confidence in yourself is the first step to overall group safety.

If you're not sure how you'll fare, we invite you to come to our office about 30 minutes prior to your tour start time to try the bikes.

  • Expand/Collapse Is this tour appropriate for children?

Yes! This bike tour is a wonderful way for kids comfortable on bikes to discover Rome. We only ask that your children have been riding for a while, are comfortable riding in a group, and can navigate riding a bike on various surfaces including cobbled streets.

Please keep in mind that children under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult on the tour.  You can see a chart of all kid's bikes and accessories here

    • Unfortunately, we do not have tricycles, tandems, or bikes with training wheels for adults or children that may be less confident in their riding ability.
