This walking tour begins with a visit to the most famous address in the world: 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. While this tour does not go inside the White House (instructions on how to visit the inside below) your tour guide will fill you in on plenty of fascinating stories about the famous history of the building and the families who called it home. We'll visit neighboring Lafayette Park and continue down Pennsylvania Avenue where you'll hear the scandalous history of this area.
Your walking tour concludes at the National Archives, home to the original Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. The security line to get inside the National Archives can often stretch around the building and be over an hour long. With your tour, you get reserved access that allows us to skip the main security line, getting you inside faster. Your tour guide will say goodbye here, allowing you to visit the National Archives at your own pace.
Please note that this tour will not go inside the White House. For information on requesting a White House tour from your Congressional Representative, click here.
