Cruise through the iconic monuments and memorials of Washington D.C. as the sun sets over the skyline on this Private Sunset Bike Tour. Ideal for those wanting a more intimate experience with their group of family or friends, choosing a private tour guarantees undivided attention from one of our entertaining and knowledgeable local tour guides. They'll adjust the structure of the tour route to suit the interests and pace of your group, so you can rest assured knowing you're going to see D.C. exactly how you want to see it! Touring through the National Mall and beyond at sunset as the skyline and its many monuments begin to illuminate is an experience you won't forget.

Whether you're a history buff wanting to dive deeper into all the facts and anecdotes or simply wanting to have a great time in D.C. this tour covers it all. From politics, architecture, and local culture, we want you to love D.C. like we do and have so much fun doing it. Some of the highlights of this tour include the Lincoln Memorial and the nearby Reflection Pool, with stunning views over the National Mall made even more beautiful by the sunset, cruising all the way through the Korean, Vietnam, and World War II Memorials. We'll make stops at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, all the way down to the Capitol Building. We'll hop off the bikes when a stop warrants extra time to walk around and of course, take lots of photos!

If you're interested in completely customizing your tour to include spots off the beaten path, or have a group larger than 8 people, please inquire about a Custom D.C. Private Bike Tour here.

  • Expand/Collapse Is this tour appropriate for children?

Absolutely! We have tons of families as we're a great family activity. We have 4 options for children depending on their age, size, and riding ability:

    • For children under 18 months of age or 45lbs (20kg), we have baby seats that can be attached to the back of a bike.
    • For children children weighing up to 65lbs (30kg), we have trailers that can be left open or zipped up to fully enclose the passenger.
    • For children up to 12 years old or 100lbs (45kg), we have 2 wheeled tandem trailers. The passenger sits on a seat and can pedal or coast. All riders over 100lbs (45kg) must ride their own bicycle. We have various smaller sized mountain bikes for those able to ride on their own, and of course, our regular beach cruisers for children big enough to ride them.
    • Unfortunately, we do not have any adult tricycles or bikes with training wheels for adults that may be less confident in their riding ability. If possible, please let us know if you would like one of our tandems, trailers, baby seats, or child bikes in advance that you'd like to reserve either a child seat or trailer.
