NATIONAL MALL SEGWAY TOUR

If you are looking to see the best of Washington, DC and have fun doing it, look no further than our National Mall Segway Tour. Our most popular tour also covers the most ground and will bring you up close and personal to iconic sites like the White House, Capitol Building, the Lincoln Memorial, and more.

Haven’t ridden a Segway before? No problem! Your tour starts with a Segway orientation to make sure everyone is comfortable and hit the streets of the Nation’s Capital. From our office, you’ll glide across the city with ease while your fun and engaging tour guide tells you about the sites, answers questions, provides recommendations, and helps with pictures. Whether you’ve lived in Washington your whole life or if this is your first time in the city, we’re confident you’ll have fun riding down the National Mall, Pennsylvania Avenue, and beyond while learning all about the landmarks that makes our DC so special.

POTOMAC RIVER CRUISE

Climb aboard the Nightingale and take in the Capitol City from the water! On this 45 minute cruise down the Potomac River, enjoy the sites on shore while you relax. With an oboard bar and a narration providing tidbits about everything you can see from the river, its another great way to see the Nation's Capitol!

FAQ

  • Expand/Collapse Segway Tour FAQ
    • Expand/Collapse Where is the Segway Tour meeting point?

All Segway tours begin at our office, located at 502 23rd Street NW, Washington, DC 20037, near the intersection of 23rd and E Streets in Columbia Plaza.

    • Expand/Collapse Do we go inside the museum and monuments?

Unfortunately we do not enter the museums and other attractions listed on our tour page as we devote as much time as we can to the tour itself. We will make short stops to learn about the museums and other attractions and give you a great orientation of the city so you'll know exactly where you will want to go after the tour.

    • Expand/Collapse How long is the Segway tour?

Our National Mall Segway Tour is approximately 3 hours long.

    • Expand/Collapse How big will my Segway group be?

Our tours operate in groups of 8 people per tour guide.

    • Expand/Collapse Is there an age or weight limit?

For your riding safety, guests must be at least 16 years of age and weigh at least 100 pounds and not in excess of 260 pounds. Yes, unfortunately the age restriction is City Law and no, there are no exceptions.

    • Expand/Collapse Can I rent a Segway without a guide?

Unfortunately, we do not rent our Segways out to individuals without a guide. Since our tours are virtually always full, we need all machines for our tour customers.

    • Expand/Collapse What time do I need to get there for my tour?

Your tour will start promptly at the scheduled time, therefore please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour departure time in order to complete the necessary paperwork. Please be aware that we have multiple tours departing throughout the day, therefore if you arrive more than 30 minutes early we may still be working with other guests. This means that even if you arrive early, your tour will still begin at the normaly scheduled time. Each member of your party will be required to complete and sign a liability waiver form. Minors under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian to complete their paperwork.

    • Expand/Collapse My child is 13 years old and rode a Segway in another city, can he/she ride?

Unfortunately, not. There are absolutely no exceptions to the City Law which requires all riders be at least 16 years old.

    • Expand/Collapse What is your cancellation policy?

We are happy to offer full refunds if the reservation is cancelled more than 72 hours (3 days) before the scheduled tour. We do not offer refunds for any reason once we are within the 72 hours of the scheduled tour.

    • Expand/Collapse Are tours cancelled in case of rain?

No, all of our tours run rain or shine. In the event of rain, guides will have ponchos that are free of charge.

    • Expand/Collapse What if my party is more than 8 people?

If the party is larger than 8 the group will be split up for safety reasons.

    • Expand/Collapse Are Segways safe for children or people with disabilities?

We have had several people with disabilities join our tours. The necessary range of motion required to operate a Segway is similar to that of being able to transfer weight from one foot to another while walking. Also, riding a Segway does require the need to be able to stand for long periods of time.

    • Expand/Collapse Are reservations required?

Reservations are required for every tour we offer. All walk-up customers will be accommodated in the best possible manner based on guide and Segway availability. Our tours fill to capacity on a regular basis. For this reason we highly suggest making a reservation online or contacting us directly to make a reservation. We don't want to fill our tour and miss showing you around!
