Private Paris Welcome Session FAQ's
Where is the meeting point?
Your tour guide will meet at your accommodation at the agreed time.
What is included in the Welcome Session?
This one-hour introductory activity is meant to help you feel comfortable with navigating Paris on your own. Your local guide will spend some time pointing out things that you’d like to visit on a map, explaining how the metro works, answering any other questions you might have, and then you’ll go for a walk around your neighborhood. The guide will point out the closest bakery, grocery store, bank, etc. so that you know exactly how to make the most out of your Paris stay!
If you know that you’d like to pre-purchase things like Seine River Cruise tickets or metro tickets, you are welcome to add these onto your order, and your guide will bring them along to your session!
Do we go inside the museums and monuments?
Unfortunately, one hour does not give us enough time to enter any of the sites that we may see in and around your neighborhood. This activity is designed to make you feel comfortable in Paris. We would love to have you join us on one of our world-famous bike, Segway, or walking tours, or we can organize a private tour if you reach out to us at privatetours@fattiretours.com. Your welcome session doesn’t end when the guide says goodbye; we are also a full-service English helpdesk ready to answer your questions!
What is your cancellation policy?
Fat Tire Tours offers 100% refunds if the Welcome Session reservation is cancelled more than 14 days prior to the scheduled tour, less the cost of any non-refundable tickets already acquired (e.g. Eiffel Tower, Versailles, Catacombs, Museums, etc.).
Inside of 14 days, we will do our best to reschedule your tour based on the availability of equipment, tickets, and tour guides. Once we are within 72 hours of the scheduled tour, we are unable to make any modifications to your tour and we do not offer any refunds.
What is your weather policy?
All tours run rain or shine.
