Where To See the Cherry Blossoms in Paris

It’s the most beautiful time of year for floral lovers… more specifically cherry blossom lovers! If you are traveling to Paris this month, we wanted you to know all the places where you can find the dazzling cherry blossoms as it’s one of the pleasures not to be missed when visiting Paris in April. Here are our favorite locations for the most Instagram-able Paris spring photos.

Square Marie Trintignant

This tiny and calm square is looking it’s best during the month of April. Every piece of nature is in full bloom and it’s the perfect place to sit for a quick lunch or moment of admiration.

Père Lachaise Cemetery

The largest cemetery in Paris is home to some beautiful cherry blossoms, making it more magical than normal. The cemetery is gigantic and some graves are pretty hard to find. That’s where our Père Lachaise Walking Tour comes in! We lead you to specific graves (Oscar Wilde, Frédéric Chopin, Édit Piaf, Jim Morrison, Murat, Delacroix, to name a few) and can point out the section of blossoms. If a professional guide doesn’t suit you, make your way to Division 5 to see the blooms in person.

Square Gabriel Pierné

A small Parisian square located behind the Institute de France between rue de la Seine and rue Mazarine. You will see the inviting book-shaped stone benches to sit under the cherry blossoms.

Petit Palais

Did you know the Petit Palais includes a lovely garden that’s filled with palm trees, fountains and a handful of cherry blossoms. You can sit back with a cup of coffee and enjoy the birds singing around you. We love directing our guests here because of the free (and interesting) exhibits.

Jardin des Plantes

A beloved botanical garden in Paris that includes one of the largest cherry blossom trees in Paris. You can expect white blossoms for the first part of April followed by all the pink.

Square Jean XXIII

This romantic square is located behind Notre Dame where you can sit on the benches and people watch. For some solo time with the blooms, we suggest you visit early morning or late evenings.

Jardin Anne Frank

In the heart of Marais, the entrance to the garden is one you can miss easily as it essentially off-the-beaten-path. The perfect place for a morning coffee and pastry with a side of cherry blossoms.

Jardin du Palais-Royal

Don’t forget your camera at this picturesque setting! This timeless garden is located in the heart of Paris and is ideal for sun-bathing and daydreaming.

Champ de Mars

Take a walk around the Champ de Mars to find the different locations of blooming trees. Our favorite spot can be found at Avenue Gustave Eiffel and Allée Adrienne Lecouvreur.

Parc de Sceaux

The best grouping of cherry blossom trees that France has to offer! This sight of rows and rows of cherry blossom trees is absolutely breathtaking. You take the RER B to get there as it’s located in a neighboring town right outside of Paris. We suggest you go for an epic picnic and leave time to check out the château and surrounding grounds.

Shakespeare and Company

Shakespeare and Company sits on the left bank of the Seine, very close to the Notre Dame cathedra. Paris’ most famous English bookshop hosts a beautiful cherry blossom tree out front.

Quai de Montebello

If you can’t get a seat on the benches at Square Jean XXIII then head to Pont de l’Archevêché to the far less crowded Quai de Montebello for a view of the cherry blossoms and Notre Dame Cathedral windows.
