Discover Italy’s Market Scene via E-Bike

Embark on a leisurely e-bike tour through the ancient streets of Rome, where history comes alive at every turn. Led by a knowledgeable guide, we’ll first explore iconic landmarks such as the breathtaking Campidoglio Belvedere where we’ll marvel at the panoramic views of the ancient city. Then we’ll discover the majestic Piazza del Campidoglio, the grandeur of Via dei Fori Imperiali, the awe-inspiring Colosseum, the triumphal Arch of Constantine, and the vast expanse of the Circus Maximus. At each stop, your local tour leader will provide fascinating insights into Rome’s rich history and culture.

  • All wine and beer drinkers must be at least 18 years of age, as required by law in Italy.
  • All guests under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian 18 years or older.
  • Please inform us of any dietary restrictions at the time of booking in the Comments section at check out.
  • Pregnant women are not advised to participate in our ebike tours and/or wine/beer tastings. Sampling of raw food and cured meats aged less than 24 months are not recommended.
  • It is recommended to wear flat and comfortable shoes.
  • Our tours go rain or shine, and we have rain ponchos available in our office free of cost.

This tour meets at our office, located at Via dei Delfini 35/36, Rome. We are about a 5 minute walk from Piazza Venezia.

Questions About our E-Bikes/Biking in Rome

Is there an age requirement to ride an E-bike?

Yes – all riders must be at least 14 years of age, as required by law in Italy. No exceptions.

Is a helmet included?

Yes helmets are included and strongly advised to be worn by all E-Bike guests, for the riding safety of everyone.

Is this tour appropriate for children?

All riders must be at least 14 years of age, as required by law in Italy.

Can minors come on tour alone?

For safety reasons, minors (14 to 17 year olds) must be accompanied by an adult (18+) on the tour.

General Tour Questions

Where is the tour meeting point?

The tour meets at Via dei Cimatori 9R, 50122 Florence.  Please be advised that there is not great mobile phone reception in and around our office, so screenshots of the walking directions can be helpful.

What is your cancellation policy?

We’re happy to offer free changes and 100% refund up to 24 hours before tour* Failure to cancel a reservation at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure may result in forfeited travel funds. Fare difference may apply.

What is your weather policy? What if it rains?

Our tours run rain or shine, and we have rain ponchos available in our office. We encourage all guests to consult the weather forecast and plan your dress accordingly.

In the summer months, please prepare for the heat by bringing/wearing adequate sun protection, and staying hydrated. Even if you are accustomed to high temperatures, air-conditioning is not always available in Italy.

What is the drinking age (for alcohol) in Italy?

The legal drinking age in Italy is 16 years old. However, please note that anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult on our tours.
This food tour does include a wine/beer tasting.

How many tastings are included?

A minimum of 5 or a maximum of 8 food and drinks tastings are included in this tour depending on the season. 

Are reservations required?

Yes, reservations are required for all tours.

Is this tour offered in any other languages, or only English?

All scheduled tours are in English, but private tours can sometimes be scheduled in other languages, given we have a tour guide who speaks the language of your choice.

Will we enter the museums and monuments that we see?

Unfortunately, we won’t have enough time during this tour to allow everyone to enter the various museums. We will, however, provide you with the best information to go back and see the places that interest you most following the tour.  This tour is designed to experience the city from a broad perspective.

What time do I need to get there for my tour?

We ask that all guests arrive 10-15 minutes early for the scheduled tour.

This gives us time to get all of our guests checked-in, fitted correctly for bikes, and a chance to get comfortable on your bike before we take off.
