Experience the Gaudí & Modernisme Bike Tour

No trip to Barcelona is complete without learning about its favorite architect, Antoni Gaudi, and his fascinating creations. This is the perfect way to get to see so many of Gaudi’s works in one day without exhausting yourself running around town.

Exploring the city by bike is the best way to see so many sights in one day. On the Gaudi Bike Tour, you’ll discover some of Gaudi’s earliest and lesser-known architectural gems as well as his most famous buildings. You'll get to learn about the life and history of Gaudi while also getting to see some stunning examples of Modernista architecture.

Of course, the highlight of the tour will be getting to see Gaudi’s magnificent cathedral, La Sagrada Familia. We’ve secured priority access skip-the-line Sagrada Familia tickets for you so that you won’t waste any precious time waiting in hours-long lines. You’ll have plenty of time to explore the interior of the Sagrada Familia on your own before meeting back with your guide, who will take you to a hidden gem for lunch to eat on the lovely open terrace of a local Spanish restaurant (lunch not included).

The fascinating stories and insight given by your guide while exploring the city will bring Gaudi’s masterpieces to life and help you to really understand why his architecture is so highly regarded in the life and culture of Barcelona.

Helmets are optional for all of our tours, but we have them in sizes for all ages.  Please let us know if you think you’d like to reserve some for your tour.

  • Expand/Collapse Can we buy water at your office?

Yes! We have cold drinks available in our office.

  • Expand/Collapse Is this tour offered in any other languages, or only English?

All scheduled tours are in English, but please inquire about other languages available if booking a private tour.

  • Expand/Collapse Is this tour appropriate for children?

Absolutely! We welcome kids of all ages on our City Bike tour and we're a great family activity. We have several kid bikes in a couple of different sizes, as well as adult bikes equipped with child seats and child trailers in addition to plenty of kid-sized helmets, so we can pretty much accommodate anyone and everyone. We also have available child tandem attachments for those kids who are too big for the child seats and trailers, but still a bit too young to ride their own bikes through the city.

    • The cost of the child tandem attachment is the same as the discounted "kid" price for children ages 12 and under. There is no charge for the use of our child seats, child trailers and helmets.
    • Although Barcelona is extremely large, the area we bike in is very flat and our tours follow carefully selected bike-friendly routes. It is necessary, however, that any person participating in our bike tours have at least some bike riding experience, and should be comfortable riding in a group.

  • Expand/Collapse What is your weather policy?

All of our tours operate rain or shine, and we have rain ponchos available in our office for purchase (fully refunded if not used).

  • Expand/Collapse Is there a place to store luggage or bags while I'm on tour?

Gaudí & Modernisme Bike Tour Reviews

Gaudi Bike Tour with Skip-the-Line Sagrada Familia Ticket is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super fun and really interesting Seeing Barcelona on a bike was fantastic! We love to walk but we saw so much more on the bike tour than we would have walking. The bikes were comfortable and our guide kept us on safe paths. We signed up for the Gaudi tour but we saw and learned so much more about Barcelona. Our tour guide was fun, informative, helpful and funny. The lunch stop was great to rest have yummy tapas and get to know the other people on the tour. By the end of the tour we were all friends. I highly recommend this tour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very informative tour, but more importantly - FUN! "Benjin" was our tour guide and he could not have been more informative, cheery and just generally fun to be around. His unique backstory helped to fill in general information regarding Barcelona, Spain and Europe in general. The tour was very informative and touched on more than just Guadi - other modernist architects of the time are covered as well. If you like to ride bikes (and who doesn't?) this tour is highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely worth doing! Of all the Fat Tire tours I have done (this was my 6th and I have enjoyed them all) Benja was the very best guide. He made sure everyone was properly introduced and emphasised that we were going to be a team which contributed to the group gelling well. His knowledge and sense of humour added to the whole experience with the skip the line entry to the Sagrada Familia being an added bonus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highlight of my trip I have been on just about every Fat Tire Tour bicycle tour that is offered across all of their destinations. I can easily say that this was one of the most enjoyable rides I've been on. I felt that the pace of the tour, the consistency of the tour information, and the inclusions were just incredible. You get to see so many interesting examples of not only Gaudi, but other architects '

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great way to see the city This was our second Fat Tyre Bike tour and we were not disappointed. Our guide was very informative and spoke perfect English. The riding on this tour was very easy and should accommodate the average fitness for all concerned. The sites we visited were spectacular and my wife and i were overwhelmed by the La Sagrada Familia. This church is something else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved seeing the inside of Sagrada Familia! The tour was very informative and a good way to get familiar with the city. I especially enjoyed seeing the inside of the Sagrada Familia - something that wasn't available the last time I did a bike tour in Barcelona about 10 years ago. Benjo was a great tour guide. Would definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun Ride through Bacelona This was one of my favorite things I did in Barcelona. To get to see so many of Gaudi's creations and a pass to beat the crowds at Sagrada Familia, you can't beat it. Also the tour guide had a great blend of facts, humor, and Barcelona cultural tid bits to share. I'd love to do another ride the next time I go.
