There are numerous fantastic documentaries online about life during the Cold War and escape attempts through the Iron Curtain and the Berlin Wall. This one, however, is of particular interest. Three different escapes are highlighted, culminating in one of the most daring escape attempts of all: in 1989, in order to get their brother out of East Berlin, small ultralight aircraft took off from West Berlin in the middle of the night, landed in the massive Treptower Park in East Berlin, and then returned to West Berlin to land in front of the Reichstag. Unbelievable!
