Our shop is just off Karlsplatz 4 (Stachus), the bustling square between the Main Train Station (Hauptbahnhof) and Marienplatz. At the Karlsplatz fountain with your back to Karlstor and the pedestrian shopping street, turn right along Sonnenstrasse. After 50 meters, you will see our shop in the courtyard of Karlsplatz 4, on the right-hand side. The closest metro station is Karlsplatz (Stachus).
First and foremost it’s our guide staff. They love the city in which they live and look forward to showing you all the unique facets of Munich. They are well-traveled, so can relate well to customers; they’ve been in the tour guiding business for many years so are masters of group dynamics; and they know hidden pockets of Munich that will help make the tour truly memorable.

We of course also have our satisfaction guarantee, so if for any reason you’re not completely satisfied you get a hassle-free refund.
That largely depends on your desires. In a three-hour walking tour, we’re normally covering about 4 kilometers, or about 2.5 miles. Should you prefer to use public transport when possible, we can certainly do that. Of course, should you want to stop for a snack or any break along the way, that’s no problem and a great opportunity to plug your guide for more insider tips.
At the time of booking, please send us an additional email explaining if you have specific desires. If we don’t hear from you proactively, we’ll reach out to you before the tour to see how we can best tailor this for you. Additionally, your guide will certainly start the tour asking if there is anything specific of note that you want (or don’t want) included.
We strongly recommend dressing appropriately and bringing an umbrella, as our tours take place in all weather. We understand your time here is limited and we aim to show you the best sides of Munich regardless of weather. That said, our guides know many sites, buildings, churches, cafes, etc where we can pop in to stay out of the elements as much as possible.
Absolutely! Munich has some of the best beer gardens in the world. From the quaint to the world-famous, we know them well and happy to include them on a tour and recommend additional ones for later.
Absolutely! This is a great family activity. Again, we’re here to help you make the most of your stay. If that means popping in to the Toy Museum or one of Munich’s best toy stores, no problem. We can break often if need be, and our guides know the best places to do that. Or, if this means expanding on some of the content to mimic what a student may have studied, also no problem.
