View Paris through a local's eyes with this exclusive bike tour! We'll start our morning near a popular métro stop that joins the eclectic 10th district with the trendy 19th district. After picking up our bikes, we'll cycle along the canal where we might witness a pétanque game in action or new street art being made in the moment. We'll continue to Buttes Chaumont Park where we'll enjoy a stroll around the waterfall and suspension bridge.
Next, it's on to the highest natural point in Paris, Belleville Park. You'll have a breathtaking view of the city and a chance to see how Parisians truly live, including a break at a local café where you can enjoy a snack or drink (cost not included). Continuing through the bustling neighborhood, we'll enter Place de la République, a popular meeting area for social movements, skaters, and musicians.
The tour meets at the Travel Shop located inside Generator Hostel, 9-11 Place Colonel Fabien, 75010. The closest métro station is Colonel Fabien (line 2). Look for your guide wearing a Fat Tire Tours t-shirt.

Unfortunately, this tour isn't ideal for kids. We have a very limited number of smaller bikes available at our departure point and the route can be very hilly. Feel free to give us a call or get in touch with us if your child is an exceptional rider for their age and we'll see what we can do.
While all of our tours maintain a leisurely pace, we want our guests to have fun and be safe, so being able to ride a bike is paramount.
Our Off the Beaten Path Bike Tour is perfect for intermediate-athletic bike riders. You should have good balance, be able to start and stop comfortably, and be familiar with hand brakes. Much of this tour is uphill and on roads, so we ask that all guests feel confident with their riding ability. Safety is our number one priority but confidence in yourself is the first step to overall group safety.
If you're not sure how you'll fare, we invite you to try our Paris Night Bike tour first.
In Paris adults are not obliged to wear a helmet, however they are mandatory for children under 12. We have helmets of all sizes available, please let us know during your booking if you would like to reserve helmets.
All scheduled tours are in English, but private tours can be scheduled in other languages.
Our Local Paris Bike Tour covers approximately 5.5 miles (8.8 km).
We are happy to offer full refunds for our Off the Beaten Path Bike Tour if the reservation is cancelled more than 72 hours (3 days) before the scheduled tour. Bookings of 10 or more passengers require seven days notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
PARIS OFF THE BEATEN PATH BIKE TOUR RESCHEDULING POLICY
Our tours run rain or shine. We encourage all guests to consult the weather forecast and to dress accordingly.
The Paris Day Bike Tour is where you'll get the most information about Paris and see the major sites such as the Eiffel Tower from the Champ de Mars, the Louvre, Place da la Concorde, and more. We hear one of two comments most often after the Paris Day Bike Tour. Either, "Wow, I'm so glad I took this because now I know what I'm going to do the next few days while I'm in the city" or we hear, "I can't believe I'm leaving tonight because there's so much more in Paris that I didn't know about and I've missed it all."
Our Local Paris Bike Tour explores a completely different part of Paris than our standard Day Bike Tour, and we have customers who take multiple tours during their time in Paris. We guarantee you will have a completely unique experience on each tour! This tour is recommended for confident riders as there are a few hills involved, and more riding in the road than our Paris Day Bike Tour.
If you are having difficulty finding the meeting location for your tour, please call us at +33.1.85.08.19.76 and our staff will be happy to help you find your way.
