With this “Florence in a Day” tour, we have distilled the best of the best into an epic 8-hour voyage of discovery through the most jaw-dropping art, architecture and historical intrigue that the city has to offer.

You’ll get to see and learn about Brunelleschi’s world-changing Duomo, Michelangelo’s divine David, and explore the hallowed halls of Italy’s most popular art museum, the Uffizi. This tour will leave you with no doubt as to why Florence is one of the world’s most dazzling cities.

If you only have one day to see all the top attractions in Florence, the “Florence in a Day Tour” is the perfect tour for you, led by your fantastic and knowledgeable tour guide.

Start your day by meeting the most famous marble sculpture in history – Michelangelo’s incomparable David. You’ll skip the long lines at the Accademia Gallery and walk straight in to see sculpture masterpieces, including Michelangelo’s unfinished “Slaves”, and the magnificent David, which can only be fully appreciated in person.

Next, you’ll head to another structure that changed world history – the Florence Duomo. As you admire the Dome from outside, you’ll hear the story of how its architect, Brunelleschi, recovered lost knowledge and expanded the realm of what was deemed humanly possible all in his pursuit of building it.

Next, we’ll dive into the beautiful streets of Florence to learn some of the rich history of the city. After a break for lunch (not included in the price of your tour, but your guide will show you the best spots to eat), you’ll reconvene at the doors of the Uffizi, Italy’s most popular art museum and one of the greatest collections of art in the world.

After skipping the entrance lines, your expert English-speaking guide will introduce you to Renaissance masterworks, including Botticelli’s “Primavera” and “Birth of Venus”, and help you to discover why these pieces were so central to the Renaissance period in Florence. You’ll learn about the incredible personalities and bitter rivalries of some of the biggest stars of the day like Raphael, Michelangelo, and Leonardo da Vinci.

Please note that guests can only carry small handbags inside the Accademia. Larger backpacks and big pointy umbrellas are not allowed. Please also note there is no cloakroom inside the Accademia Gallery.
This tour is wheelchair accessible with some difficulties. Please contact us to make further arrangements.
Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate guests with strollers on this tour.
This tour includes a 1 hour 30 minute break for lunch. The cost of lunch is not included in the tour, but your guide will be happy to recommend the best local spots to suit any budget.

Meeting Point

This tour will meet in Piazza San Giovanni, by the column of San Zanobi next to the Baptistery of St. John. Piazza San Giovanni is a centrally located square in front of Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral and Baptistery of St. John.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour start time. Due to the exclusive nature of our skip-the-line tickets, we do not have the luxury of waiting for guests, or catching them up after the fact.

Where is the meeting point?

Can I bring my bag/backpack on tour?

Guests can only carry small handbags inside the Accademia. Larger backpacks and big pointy umbrellas are not allowed. Please also note there is no cloakroom inside the Accademia Gallery.

Please only bring what you can easily carry within the gallery guidelines, as there is no place for baggage storage on this tour.

What time do I need to get there for my tour?

We ask that all guests arrive 10-15 minutes early for the scheduled tour.

This gives us time to get all of our guests checked-in, fitted correctly for bikes, and a chance to get comfortable on your bike before we take off.

What is your weather policy? What if it rains?

Our tours run rain or shine, and we have rain ponchos available in our office. We encourage all guests to consult the weather forecast and plan your dress accordingly.

In the summer months, please prepare for the heat by bringing/wearing adequate sun protection, and staying hydrated. Even if you are accustomed to high temperatures, air-conditioning is not always available in Italy.

Are reservations required?

Yes, reservations are required for all tours.

What is your cancellation policy?

Activities including tickets or special entrances, such as this one, may only be rescheduled for free up to 72 hours in advance. These activities are also only refundable more than 72 hours in advance of the activity start time. Within 72 hours, we will only be able to issue a partial refund or future credit.
