  • Photography is not allowed in the sites visited on this tour due to their religious nature.
  • Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
  • Sites on this itinerary include holy places, and attire must be appropriate for the visit. Both men and women are asked to wear clothing that covers at least the shoulders and knees. Fat Tire Tours cannot be held responsible for denied entry due to improper dress. It is sufficient to bring extra coverings with you and put them on before our entrance to the holy areas.

This tour meets in Piazza Barberini, just by the Triton fountain in the middle of the square.  The closest metro station is Barberini (Line B).

If you are traveling by public transport there is a metro station that stops here called “Barberini,” which is two stops west of Termini train station. The fountain in the center of the piazza is called the Triton Fountain, by Bernini, and the street that descends from it is Via del Tritone.

Visiting the Catacombs is not advised to anyone suffering from cardiac or respiratory weakness or tendencies of claustrophobia.

Is this tour appropriate for children?

There are no age requirements for this tour. Most children find this tour thrilling but please note the nature of this tour features real human remains, spooky stories, and involves walking through compact, dark spaces. We are also unable to accommodate strollers on this tour.

Is this tour wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate guests with mobility impairments, wheelchairs or strollers on this tour.

How big will my group be?

This tour operates in groups of 18 people maximum.

Our tours run rain or shine, and we have rain ponchos available in our office. We encourage all guests to consult the weather forecast and plan your dress accordingly.

In the summer months, please prepare for the heat by bringing/wearing adequate sun protection, and staying hydrated. Even if you are accustomed to high temperatures, air-conditioning is not always available in Italy.
