Feel like a local as an Italian chef welcomes you to a gorgeous private loft, teaching you how to make pasta from scratch. You'll start with Prosecco, wine, and seasonal starters on the rooftop terrace of a beautiful Roman apartment. This is an experience that only “real Romans” (and ones who are friends with a chef) usually get to have. Now, you can, too!
After some wine and snacks, your private Italian chef will show you how to make authentic Italian pasta. You'll learn how to make two mouthwatering pasta dishes: the Roman classic of spaghetti a l'Amatriciana, a slightly spicy tomato sauce with salt-cured pork, and a light stuffed ravioli. The chef will teach you the proper way to make and cook pasta to the perfect consistency, as well as how to make these two delicious sauces.
This hands-on process is fun for both children and adults. Feel free to pick the chef's brain about all things food and Rome related. This is your chance to learn how to cook, and eat, like a local.
After you've finished making these Italian pastas, you'll enjoy the meal you cooked on the rooftop terrace. With small groups (and a couple bottles of wine), it will feel more like a meal with friends than a traditional cooking class. It's one of the most fun, authentic and hands-on ways to dine in Rome.
