Rome Pasta Making Class: Cook, Dine & Drink Wine with a Local Chef

Feel like a local as an Italian chef welcomes you to a gorgeous private loft, teaching you how to make pasta from scratch. You’ll start with Prosecco, wine, and seasonal starters on the rooftop terrace of a beautiful Roman apartment. This is an experience that only “real Romans” (and ones who are friends with a chef) usually get to have. Now, you can, too!

Meeting Point

This tour meets in Piazza Trilussa. Look for your guide in the middle of the square, near the main central staircase. Your guide will be wearing a chef’s coat and holding a meeting sign.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start time. No refunds or re-bookings can be provided for late arrivals. Punctuality is very important as your coordinator/chef will be at the meeting point before walking you to the location of the pasta making class.

What will we make?

This cooking class teaches you how to make real Italian pasta from scratch and the sauces to compliment them. You’ll learn to make the Roman classic of spaghetti a l’Amatriciana, a slightly spicy tomato sauce with salt-cured pork, and a light stuffed ravioli.

Is this tour appropriate for children?

Yes, this cooking class is fun for both children and adults.

Is this activity wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately, due to layout of the building, we cannot accommodate wheelchairs on this tour.

What is your weather policy? What if it rains?

Our tours run rain or shine, and we have rain ponchos available in our office. We encourage all guests to consult the weather forecast and plan your dress accordingly.

In the summer months, please prepare for the heat by bringing/wearing adequate sun protection, and staying hydrated. Even if you are accustomed to high temperatures, air-conditioning is not always available in Italy.

Are reservations required?

Yes, reservations are required for all tours.
