The Welcome Sign at the Augustiner House in Munich

Despite Munich today being a worldly and progressive city of modern values, the sad truth is that if we step back only as far as the 1920s, we see a much darker side to the Bavarian capital. This guided walking tour gives visitors a sense of historical perspective and the opportunity to pay respect to the victims of Nazism. With Munich being heralded by the Nazi’s as the “capital city of the movement,” it only makes sense that a nearby town like Dachau would be the first place where the true evil of Nazism would be made known to the world.
