Day City Tour

Our Day City Tour is famous as our all-in-one tour, and for good reason. You will get the perfect orientation to Berlin, regardless if you’re new to this great city or have experienced it many times before. You’ll understand all facets of Berlin in one tour: Berlin’s founding, the Prussians, Weimar Republic, Hitler and the Third Reich, as a city divided by The Wall during the Cold War, and the Berlin of today.  We cruise through delightful parks to a fantastic beer garden! You may want to bring some extra cash for lunch.

Some of the great sites on this tour include:  Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie, Museum Island, Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, the Reichstag (parliament building), section of the Berlin Wall, and much, much more!

FAQs

  • Expand/Collapse Where is the meeting point?

All bike tours meet at the main entrance of the TV Tower in Alexanderplatz. You will see our guides there along with our large, red flag. If you would like to drop by our shop before the tour, you can find us around the right-hand corner from the entrance to the TV Tower.

  • Expand/Collapse Are reservations required for this tour?

Reservations are recommended, but not required.  We suggest that you book in advance so that you are guaranteed a spot on the tour, and also to help us better plan for the day of your tour.  If you do not have a reservation don’t worry, just come on by our shop and we will get you on tour, provided that there is space.

  • Expand/Collapse What do I need to bring with me on tour?

Be sure to bring your camera and some cash for the lunch break.  We also recommend that you bring an extra layer of clothing in case it gets chilly during the tour.  There are luggage racks on our bikes so you can easily carry some small items with you.

  • Expand/Collapse Do I need to reserve a bike separately?

No - the bike is included with the bike tour, so just bring yourself and we will take care of the rest!

  • Expand/Collapse Do we stop for lunch?

Yes, we will make a stop for lunch during the tour.  Please remember that the cost of food is not included in the tour price, so make sure to have some cash with you.

  • Expand/Collapse Is this tour appropriate for kids?

Our tours are great options for families and kids are very welcome.  We have several types of kids’ bikes, seats, and helmets to make sure everyone of all sizes is comfortable on tour.

  • Expand/Collapse What if I haven’t ridden a bike in a while?

Don’t worry, it’s just like riding a bike!  Our tours move at a very comfortable pace so don’t worry if you are a bit rusty.  If you are worried about being comfortable on the bike, feel free to stop by the shop a bit early and you can take a few practice laps.

  • Expand/Collapse What happens if it rains?

The tour will still run in case of rain.  We try our best to take cover but sometimes we are exposed to the elements.  We have pocket-sized rain ponchos for sale in our shop and we highly recommend that you purchase one before tour.  If you don’t use it, we will buy it back from you- it’s a bit of a rain insurance policy!

  • Expand/Collapse Do we go inside the museums and monuments?

We cannot enter the monuments because German Law restricts museum guides to their authorized officials. Plus, some people would want to spend only ten minutes in the museum while others would prefer 3 hours.

TIP: Should you want to keep your bike longer, and many people do, you get a discount on rental following a tour.  Your guide, and our shop staff, will be happy to show you exactly how to go back to any sites you would like to explore further or visit the interior.

  • Expand/Collapse Can I combine this tour with other tours?

Of course!  In fact, our tours make great compliments for each other and you get a substantial discount when you join us for more than one tour.  Check out our Package Deals to see all the great combinations of tours you can make.
