On this guided bike tour through Berlin’s 20th century, we bring history to life by taking you to the places you’ve seen in pictures or read about in textbooks. We visit the site of the largest book burning in Nazi Germany, we see the site of the Reichstag Fire which led to the death of German democracy, we stand above the bunker where Hitler spent his last days, and we cycle across the space where Soviet and US tanks stood-off at Checkpoint Charlie. Along the way, our expert guides share with you the historical events as well as the personal stories that shaped Berlin into one of the most important cities of the 20th Century. If you want to delve into Germany’s fascinating and tumultuous history, at the same time as seeing some of Berlin’s main sights, this is the tour for you.

Questions About our Bikes/Biking in Berlin

Do I need to reserve a bike separately?

No – the bike is included with the bike tour, so just bring yourself and we will take care of the rest!

Is this too much riding after a full day of sightseeing or having done another tour?

Absolutely not.  Even if you have spent all day on a bike or dashing around town, you will feel refreshed biking around Berlin in the evening.  Like all of our tours, the pace is easy and punctuated by stops to hear great anecdotes and info from the guide.

What if I haven't ridden a bike in a while?

Don’t worry, it’s just like riding a bike!  Our tours move at a very comfortable pace so don’t worry if you are a bit rusty.  If you are worried about being comfortable on the bike, feel free to stop by the shop a bit early and you can take a few practice laps.

What are the requirements for an e-bike?

All e-bike riders must be at least 160 cm or 5’3”. Additionally, we can not mount kids seats, tag-alongs or chariots to our e-bikes.
