Potsdam is Berlin’s most popular day-trip destination and for good reason. It’s a veritable playground for biking with many Prussian and Cold War sights tucked deep in parks and along quiet alleyways. Reserving a private guide just for your group will give you the chance to explore this beautiful area and learn about its history, all on your own schedule.
We start by taking the train our TV Tower shop for the 25+km journey to Potsdam, where our bikes are waiting for you. In 6.5 - 7 hours, including transport time, our tour covers about 16 km (10 miles) so there is a bit more biking than our other Berlin tours. However, Potsdam is also quite flat with lots of sights and stops.
Here are some of the many reasons why we think you’ll love our Gardens & Palaces of Potsdam Bike Tour:
At the end of our tour we will journey on the train back to our shop in Alexanderplatz. Our staff are happy to provide you with recommendations for dining, shopping, or exploring following your tour.
If you're coming to Berlin for a special occasion, like a birthday or anniversary, let us know in the comments! We want to make your private tour with us as unique as possible.
Private tours meet at our Alexanderplatz shop, located at the base of the giant TV Tower (Fernsehturm). The address is Panoramastraße 1a, 10178 Berlin.

Due to the nature of guide scheduling for private tours, cancellations or rescheduling requests must be done at least 7 days in advance of the activity start time to be eligible for a full refund. Reschedulings are subject to availability and fare difference may apply.
No- the bike is included with the bike tour, so just bring yourself and we will take care of the rest!
Yes, we will make a stop for lunch during the tour. Please remember that the cost of food is not included in the tour price, so make sure to have some cash with you.
Our tours are great options for families and kids are very welcome, but please note that this is a long day. We have several types of kids’ bikes, seats, and helmets to make sure everyone of all sizes is comfortable on tour. You know your kids best, so if you think they'll enjoy 6.5 hours of biking and touring, then we're keen to have them join us!
Don’t worry, it’s just like riding a bike! Our tours move at a very comfortable pace so don’t worry if you are a bit rusty. A private tour gives you the advantage of testing out the bikes for as long as you'd like before we get started.
The tour will still run in case of rain. We try our best to take cover but sometimes we are exposed to the elements. We have pocket-sized rain ponchos that we provide for free to all of our private tour guests.
There are over 20 palaces in Potsdam, plenty of parks and gardens, and endless history! We privledge cycling on this tour, and as such, we do not include entry into any one palace. The palaces are often non air-conditioned, small, and often have significant lines. Of course if you have your heart set on seeing the inside of a particular palace, let us know in the comments of your booking, and we'll do our best to accommodate your request!
Of course! In fact, our tours make great compliments for each other. If you want to include a specific site on this tour that's not mentioned in the description, or if you're curious about package deals, just reach out to us at [email protected]
