Private Third Reich & Nazi Berlin Bike Tour

Private Third Reich & Nazi Berlin Bike Tour

This powerful tour explores Berlin as the capital city of Nazi Germany. We visit the former Jewish quarter, location of Nazi bunkers, an air raid shelter, anti-aircraft installations, war-damaged buildings, Nazi resistance monuments, WWII battlefields, and more.  By the end of the tour you will:

  • Understand the circumstances that allowed a maniac like Hitler to achieve power.
  • Realize both the grim fate that awaited the victims of the Holocaust and grasp what life was like for ordinary citizens.
  • Draw the connection from the end of World War I to Hitler’s rise and consequently his fall to the building of the Berlin Wall.
  • See the impact the Third Reich and WWII still have on Berlin of today.

    • Groups of up to 10 people are a group-price of €340
    • Groups of up to 15 people are a group-price of €450

If you have more than 15 people, each additional person over 15 is €28 each.

To place your booking, first choose which group size fits your group, then select the number of groups of that size you would like to reserve (you will likely be selecting “1” group unless you are booking multiple different groups).  If your group has more than 15 participants, you should select “1 Group of up to 15” then additionally select the number of people over 15 (for example, for a group of 22 people you would select one group of 15 and add 7 extra guests).  Once you add your selection to the cart your total price will be displayed for you to review.

  • Expand/Collapse Are reservations required for this tour?

Private Tours can only be guaranteed when booked in advance.  We recommend booking as far in advance as possible.  We are, however, happy to book last minute Private Tours when possible.

  • Expand/Collapse What do I need to bring with me on tour?

Be sure to bring your camera and some cash for the lunch break.  We also recommend that you bring an extra layer of clothing in case it get’s chilly during the tour.  There is a luggage rack on our bikes so you can easily carry some small items with you.

  • Expand/Collapse Do I need to reserve a bike separately?

No- the bike is included with the bike tour, so just bring yourself and we will take care of the rest!

  • Expand/Collapse Do we stop for lunch?

We do not make a full stop for lunch on this tour but there is usually time for a quick snack at one of the stops. Please remember that the cost of food is not included in the tour price, so make sure to have some cash with you.

  • Expand/Collapse Is this tour appropriate for kids?

Our tours are great options for families and kids are very welcome.  We have several types of kids’ bikes, seats, and helmets to make sure everyone of all sizes is comfortable on tour. Our Third Reich & Nazi Germany Tour does cover some difficult subjects, so please judge if your kids are going to be interested and able to digest the info.

  • Expand/Collapse What if I haven’t ridden a bike in a while?

Don’t worry, it’s just like riding a bike!  Our tours move at a very comfortable pace so don’t worry if you are a bit rusty.  If you are worried about being comfortable on the bike, feel free to stop by the shop a bit early and you can take a few practice laps.

  • Expand/Collapse What happens if it rains?

The tour will still run in case of rain.  We try our best to take cover but sometimes we are exposed to the elements.  We have pocket-sized rain ponchos for sale in our shop and we highly recommend that you purchase one before tour.  If you don’t use it, we will buy it back from you- it’s a bit of a rain insurance policy!

  • Expand/Collapse Do we go inside the museums and monuments?

We cannot enter the monuments because German Law restricts museum guides to their authorized officials. Plus, some people would want to spend only ten minutes in the museum while others would prefer 3 hours.

TIP: Should you want to keep your bike longer, and many people do, you get a discount on rental following a tour.  Your guide, and our shop staff, will be happy to show you exactly how to go back to any sites you would like to explore further or visit the interior.

  • Expand/Collapse Can I combine this tour with other tours?

Of course!  In fact, our tours make great compliments for each other and you get a substantial discount when you join us for more than one tour.  Check out our Package Deals to see all the great combinations of tours you can make.
