Yes, from November to March we will run tours on a reduced schedule at 11am from Thursdays to Mondays, inclusive. Please see the tour page for full details.

  • Expand/Collapse Is the tour difficult?

  • Expand/Collapse What is your weather policy?

We run tours rain or shine and have plenty of rain ponchos. We find tours in the rain to be a different kind of fun and an even more fun memory! If you have a reservation and the weather is really bad, you are welcome to reschedule the tour for any other day for up to year.

Both tours finish at the same place they start.

Yes. There will be a chance to take many photos at the designated stops.

    Absolutely.

You are welcome to bring your own bicycle and will receive a discount of 10%. Our insurance only covers the theft of our own bicycles, so please do bring your own lock for the lunch stop.

  • Expand/Collapse Do you have children's bikes?

Yes. We have kids bikes, tag-alongs and baby seats. Please make a reservation online if you have children in your group and let us know how many are with you, and their ages, in the NOTES section of your reservation - this way we can make sure we have the right sized bikes set aside for everyone in your group.

  • Expand/Collapse Is this tour appropriate for children?

Absolutely! We have loads of families and we're a great family activity. We offer multiple bike options for children depending on their age, size, and riding ability. Please keep in mind that children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult on the tour.

    • For children up to 12 years old or 45kg (100lbs) without good bike handling skills we offer 2-wheeled tandems that allow the passenger to pedal or coast, without having to maintain a high level of balance. All riders over 45kg (100lbs) must ride their own bicycle. We have various sized city bikes to accommodate just about every size of rider, from extra small 20 inch wheeled bikes for riders that are 3.3ft (100cm) to extra large for riders up to 6.5ft (198cm). Unfortunately, we do not have adult tricycles, adult tandems, or bikes with training wheels for adults or children that may be less confident in their riding ability.
    • There is no additional charge for trailers, tandems or baby seats. Due to limited availability, please book baby seats, trailers, tandems, 20” and 24” wheeled bikes in advance.
    • Please Note: All extra small 20 inch and small 24 inch bikes are equipped with both hand brakes.
    • Our city tours are very casual, with only slight elevation changes on varying surfaces including smooth gravel and pavement. It is necessary, however, that any person participating in our bike tours have at least some bike riding experience, and should be comfortable riding in a group.
  • Expand/Collapse Is a helmet included?

Royal London Bike Tour Reviews

Royal London Bike Tour - 11AM is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 427.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Better Way to Get Acclimated Instead of taking a hop on hop off or walking tour, The Royal London Bike Tour is a great way to get situated in the city. Our two children, 10 & 14, loved that it was active and in the middle of it all. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We would do these tours in all the cities where they have a presence.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great way to see the sites of London This tour was a great way to spend our first day in London. We were a bit jet lagged, but knew this would be the perfect way to get out and feel better. Our guide was funny and informative. He gave us great information without being overly long winded. The tour was a great introduction to the core area around Hyde Park and Buckingham palace. Our guide gave us great recommendations of where to visit during the remainder of our visit to London.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great way to see many sights We had a great time biking and seeing many sights along the way. The tour guide provided good information and entertaining anecdotes. It was also a good way to learn which routes we can later bike on our own. We thought the tour group was a bit large for how crowded London is at this time; it was difficult to keep everyone together since our group was so large and bikes take up such space that we cannot all make it across a street in time before the light changes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great last minute adventure! There is NO better way to tour London in a day. Walking? Would have taken a week. Bus tour? Hello traffic (and my teenage son would have fallen asleep). Great family experience!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A perfect day for a bike tour around London! I bought this bike tour for my partner and we were pleasantly surprised how interesting it was because we live outside the London area, in Berkshire.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tour for seeing a lot of the city at once! Our guide Paul was very friendly and informative during the tour. It was a great way to cover a lot of ground quickly. We got to see Kensington Palace, Buckingham Palace, the center of London, Westminster Abbey, parks, Diana's Memorial Fountain and a lot more a long the way. The tour was about 3.5 hours long with a break in the middle. Would definitely recommend or do another tour!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect tour! Great Guide! Thoroughly enjoyed the Royal London Bike Tour! Ollie was a great guide providing just the right amount of details and fun facts about the various sites. I can think of no better way to spend a beautiful sunny afternoon than riding through the London parks (Kensington, Hyde, and St. James).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic time. Had a really great time biking around London. I had landed from NY a couple of hours earlier and with traffic and train problems was running an hour late. I contacted Fattire’s and they had another tour guide take me to meet my group so I could continue the tour. The parks are quite large and the biking easy. There is some street biking but for the most part you’re in a bike lane. Our tour guide was super friendly, very knowledgeable and attentive. As we rode past the various sites he gave us interesting points about the history of London. This is a great and unique way to see London. I highly recommend!!!

It was a great way to see some major sites and get a feel for london. Our tour guide was engaging, friendly and knowledge. We would highly recommend this tour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Adventure with Fat Tire Tours! We recently (a family a 5) returned from an 18 day trip through Europe. We made stops in several countries including Spain, France and the UK. I had heard great things about Fat Tire Tours and decided to book several tours through them. We ended up booking 7 tours throughout the cities we were visiting. Everyone one of them ended up fantastic and we didn't regret a single tour. If you are considering Fat Tire Tours, I highly recommend it. We booked the following tours... -Barcelona Gaudi Bike Tour with Benja -Skip The Line Louvre Tour -Normandy D-Day Tour -Skip The Line Versailles Chateau and Gardens Tour -Paris Night Time Bike Tour & Eiffel Tower -Royal London Bike Tour H-ouse of Parliament & Skip The Line Westminster Abbey Tour I promise you won't regret booking tours with this fantastic company. Thank you for making our adventure even more amazing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Intro to London I went on the Royal London Tour with my two sisters and it was the perfect introduction to London. Dominick provided a scenic ride with lots of information and fun facts about London, its history and the Royals. We didn't see any purple helicopters, but we did see the trumpeter in the horse guard and the state flag above Buckingham Palace. I would recommend this tour and if I ever go back to London, I would look into other Fat Tire tours!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Iconic London tour Pre-bought tickets. On the day of our tour, ticket price now 10 Pounds cheaper. That’s ridiculous! Don’t think the tour is worth 35 pounds/person when you add in the exchange rate. We took the 3:30 tour. Perfect weather for a bike ride through the park. Stopped at Kensington Palace, Buckingham Palace, Wellington Gate, Trafalgar Sq, Parliment, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, and highlights in Hyde Park. The afternoon ride falls during rush hour so be aware of lots of other (very fast) bike riders, walkers & cars. It can be a bit scary with kids. Bikes aren’t actual Fat Tire bikes. They’re a bit beat up and brakes are in the opposite side handles from US bikes. No baskets to store items but will hold your bag at their bike shop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly Recommend. Great day and great way to see some of the sights in London. Forget the Hop-On Hop-Off bus, you don't get stuck in traffic whilst you're peddling away on a bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Tour Guide - learned a lot about London I bought this a couple of weeks ago for a friend's birthday. The weather was beautiful, and the tour was amazing. We saw parts of London we had not seen before, our Capital is truly a beautiful City. The tour took us safely around the cycle routes of London, stopping every so often for the Guide (Jamie) to share his wealth of knowledge with us, some fascinating history was learned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wouldn't See the City Any Other Way We have done Fat Tire Tours in Berlin, Paris and Barcelona. London was just as amazing. We were a little hesitant about the big city with streets but Fat Tire found a way to use parks throughout the tour. Loved our time and learning about the city.
