Private Munich Old-Town Walking Tour

While we’ll see the main sites, we like to navigate to them through the back streets. This allows us to miss the crowds and see some hidden gems along the way.  Your local guide will point out some of the lesser known monuments and historical areas, such as the old town at the old city gates.  We’ll step back in time through stories, exploring Munich’s monarchy, talking about the various battles that happened here, and describing how it came to become the seat of Bavaria. After this tour, you’ll understand enough about the town to be mistaken for a real “Münchner” yourself.

One of the best parts of this tour is the central Munich farmers’ market, located in the heart of the city.  We’ll stop here for refreshments; it’s a great place to get to know your guide more, pick up some sweets and treats as souvenirs, and explore typical Bavarian traditions.  Our tour ends at one of the most famous pubs in the world, the fabulous Hofbräuhaus, where giant beers and overflowing plates of traditional Bavarian food await you.  Your guide can also provide you with other recommendations for dinner as well as plenty of great museum, café, and sightseeing activities to do after the tour.  This is the perfect way to get an overview of Munich and learn to appreciate the city.
